Granum

Firma Nasienna GRANUM Sp. J was established in 1993. We are involved in production and trade of sowing material of agricultural plants. Our main area of activity is the production of specialist grass mixtures, both turf and forage, for pastures, lays and alternating grasslands. We also produce planting potatoes, as well as seeds of cereals, legumes, pulses and other agricultural crops.
The seat of the company is located in Wodzierady, poviat Lask, Lódzkie district.

We own state-of-the-art machinery and ample warehouse space, including a potato store, as well as our own transport fleet. Our team of specialist professionals is the key to our success in maintaining a high standard of offered products and services. We do our best to maintain a well earned reputation as a reliable and trustworthy business partner. An ever-increasing acreage of 4000ha of seed plantations is evidence that we are doing a good job. The sowing material we produce is in full compliance with EU requirements, and the high quality of our products is attested by seed certificates issued by the Polish Seed Inspection Agency.

Recent years: In 2005 the company became a co-owner of a privatized plant breeding institute Hodowla Roślin Grupa IHAR with a seat in Bartążku, which is primarily involved with the breeding of new grass varieties, both turf as well as forage ones. 


In 2007, 2008 i 2009 the company has been awarded with the statue of ORZEŁ AGROBIZNESU (the Eagle of Agribusiness) by the EMS Promotion and Publishing Agency, under the honorary patronage of the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. This award is presented to companies which have attained success on the Polish, European and global markets. 

 

In order to maintain its strong position in the seed market, in 2008 the company has increased its storage space by 30%, through the construction of new palette storage warehouses and silos. A new processing plant has also been constructed and equipped with state of the art machinery for cleaning, drying, treatment and packaging of sowing material.
