SKARPA I
A typical mixture for weaker, dry soils with a significant gradient. We recommend this mixture for sowing on escarpments, hillsides, heaps, mine waste dumps and other sites which need to be secured against wind and water erosion.
The deep root system of tall fescue guarantees good rootage and binds slopes. Creeping red fescue and sheep’s fescue tolerate weaker soils, and Kentucky bluegrass improves sod density. The ryegrasses, characterized by rapid growth, act as cover for other species. This mixture is suitable for diverse soil and moisture conditions. The clover in this mixture ensures closure of any gaps in the sod and replenishes nitrogen in the soil. The mixture is also very resistant to frost kill and tolerant to high soil salinity.
The mixture comes in
- 5kg and 20kg paper bags.
