PERSIAN CLOVER

The plants, measuring 50-70 cm, are erect but profusely branched and with a tendency to lodge; they have soft, hollow stems and a fairly shallow, branching root system. Persian clover is a valuable forage species, yielding 2-4 cuts of green mass which is eagerly consumed by livestock. Although It re-grows quickly, the stems lignify very slowly. It is suitable for fertile, well-irrigated soils and is an annual plant in our climatic conditions.
