MEADOW FESCUE

A perennial grass, tall, loosely tufted, it has a well developed root system, reaching down to 1 meter. Meadow fescue is a valued component of all meadow and pasture mixtures, as it is characterised by good palatability and digestibility. It is tolerant to trampling and regrows quickly. It has good initial development, but it is not a dominating species, it does not croud out other species in the sward. It particularly tolernant to varying soil conditions and usage requirements. Meadow fescue is well suited fir renovation of old grasslands through sod-seeding.
Meadow fescue is a nitrophyllic species, it reacts positively to nitrogen fertilisation, which increases green mass yields.
