Festulolium is an interspecies crossing between meadow fescue and italian ryegrass. It is a perennial, exhibiting mixed qualites of both parent species. Festulolium is ued as a component of forage mixtures, valued for its high green mass yield of excellent nutritive qualily. Similiarly to to italian ryegrass it contains a lot of carbohydrates, is very palatable, and easily silaged. Festulolium is tolerant to intensive usage. It is also suitable for cutting, producing up to 4 cuts per year.
